I have not done a Krafty Kate DIY sort of thing in SO LONG! (sorry!)
This is a DIY on make up setting spray. Next week I am going on holidays (yay!) and its gonna be hella warm.
Do I want my makeup to melt off my face?
No, like any other makeup wearing human being, I'd like my makeup to stay on my face. So to tackle that, after about an hour of research I made my own recipe for a makeup setting spray!
WHAT YOU NEED?
- Aloe Vera
- Water
- Sun Cream (optional)
- Liquid Primer (also optional)
- Clean Spray Bottle
A lot of the DIY's for these on YouTube all used glycerin. I asked my mam what this was and she said it was a thick fatty liquid used in cooking (not direct quote). And I don't know about you guys, but the thought of putting a thick fatty substance used in cooking on my face sort of made me think, eh no... Glycerin is meant to help it stick, and according to a good few other tutorials aloe vera does the same job!
STEPS!
- Add 1 part aloe vera to the bottom of a clean spray bottle ( my spray bottle is from a Penneys travel set I bought a couple of years back).
- Add 2/3 parts fresh or filtered water.
- Add 2-4 sprays of sunscreen & 2-4 sprays of a liquidy primer. I used my Lily Cole primer which should hold your makeup also. (This part is optional!)
- Shake it up well and enjoy your makeup setting spray!
