Movie Date(s)

Recently I went to the movies with my husband and one of my close friends.  We saw White House Down.  I thought it was a great movie and my favorite scene was the car scene on the white house lawn.  That's all I'm going to say since I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen the movie.  Have you seen the movie?  If so, what was your favorite scene?

This is the outfit I wore to the movies.  I LOVE these pants.  I feel like I am stepping out of the box and the pants are sooo comfortable.  I could wear them all the time!
Did you see these pants and shades on this blog post?
I also wore these sandals here.

I'm Back

Hello Loves!  I am finally back from my trip to Texas and so happy to get back into blogging.  Blogging on my phone is the worst...it seems to take forever!  So usually I just blog when I'm home...which makes the time between some blog posts lengthy.  Anyway, trip to Texas.  I went to Austin.  Not impressed.  There was good food, the conference was good, but it was all just ok.  I didn't see anything that I was like, "Wow, I want to come back."  Don't get me wrong...there was nothing wrong with Austin, but it just reminded me a lot of Myrtle Beach.  A lot of bars, a lot of restaurants, a lot of work, and that's about it.  Maybe I missed the good stuff...not sure.  Let's put it this way...you know how you go places and you know what you need to visit when you're there.  Like 16th Street Mall in Denver.  Or the sea lions in San Francisco.  I didn't really hear of or see anything like that in Austin.  I'm sorry to those from Austin and wish I had someone to tell me what I needed to go see.  It might not have helped that I was also sick the entire trip.  I don't remember the last time I was sick and I am sooo ready to see this bug leave my body.

Outfit details.  I wore this recently for errands with my husband one Saturday.  I think I have stated before that I always carry sandals.  I do.  Because I never know where the day may take me and I have to be prepared.  Also, I apologize for the million-pictures for one outfit posts.  Sometimes I can't decide which ones to take out....so I leave them all in.  Then you get to see the same pose 10 times with minor changes.  Happy viewing!
Did you see where I wore these sandals here?

Holiday Haul

hey huns!
At long last I have my beauty haul of things I bought on holidays. I actually had a penneys/primark haul but my iPod ran out of memory and I only realised this when editing, so I'm sorry about that! I hope you enjoy the haul and I'll see you in my next video or blogpost!

DIY: Ombre Shorts

Hi everyone! I’m really excited to be going a guest post on Kate’s blog. I decided to a DIY post on making your own ombre shorts. Enjoy! :)

Lately, I have absolutely loved seeing this trend. I think the vintage look is adorable. I've never done a "Do It Yourself" post before, so this will be my first one. I hope it turns out okay. If I didn't explain anything to clearly, just comment below, and I'll explain it to you the best I can.

Supplies:
A pair of shorts/jeans.
Bleach
Old Container
Tooth Brush
Water
Cute Studs (Optional)

1. The first thing I did was cut the shorts, so they hit a little lower than mid-thigh.

2. I filled an old container with bleach.

3. I placed the ends of the shorts in the bleach for 2 hours.

4. I then took a toothbrush and used it to fade it a little better at the top.

5. I rinsed it off with water.

6. After I rinsed it really well, I put in the washer and then the drier.

7. I rolled the bottom of the shorts up a little.

8. (Optional) In the end, I added stars to the one side, randomly, and on the other side, I added 5 stars right under the pocket. I am completely happy with the result.

I can't wait to wear them! Let me know if you try this out! I would love to see how yours turned out!

Thanks for reading!

Xoxo,

Alex :)

Nautical

Hello loves!  I hope your week has gone fantastically!  I wore this look below during errands last Sunday and over to a friend's house for dinner.  It is actually a very comfortable dress and I love the nautical look of it.  I decided to pair the blue with browns and creams instead of reds.  How have you styled your nautical looks this summer?

Wedding Season

Hello loves!  I love wedding season...it's very romantic and I get to dress up!  I especially love it now that I am married; it means so much more to me to be sitting next to the person that I made the same commitment to almost two years ago.  I think all weddings are beautiful and it baffles me when people inflict their negative thoughts and opinions on someone's wedding.  It is their day, if they like things that you/we think are ugly, appalling, whatever to you/us, keep in mind that it is pretty, nice, etc. to them and let them enjoy what they think will make their day special.  The truth is, it hurts the bride when someone has negative opinions, whether they say so or not.  On that note, let's all enjoy wedding season while it is here!  And here are some pictures from a beautiful wedding I attended recently.....

You might have seen these shoes here when I wore them to work recently.
